The concept also covers the organization's capability to foresee and meet or surpass the stakeholders' expectations in the effective and efficient delivery of products over the chain, from material sourcing to final delivery.
Though varying by region and country, the typical supply chain compliance requirements include local and national authority and institution criteria. These can include, for example, RoHS regulations, industry standards (depending on the product), trade agreements, overseeing authority guidelines and expectations, contractual agreements, and an organization's internal policies. Compliance with the above enables and often determines the success of crucial nodes along the supply chain, and also facilitates risk management.
